Enrique Suarez-Olmos
C:
What is the name of your profession?
E:
Theatre and puppetry teacher. It’s interesting because I teach the class in
Spanish.
C:
What do you do that changes the world a little bit every day?
E: I
teach kids of a very young age (3, 4, and 10) to speak Spanish, and I develop
their imagination through theatrical games and puppetry.
C: Is
Spanish their first language? Is it your first language?
E: No,
Spanish is their second language. But yes, my first language is Spanish.
C:
What inspired you to tech these children?
E: I
think that kids have a lot of energy that can be aimed to achieve great things
if it is encouraged in their early years.
C:
What would you like to do in the future?
E: I
would like to become my students’ friend. Also see how they grow within the
years of me teaching
C:
What’s your goal as a teacher?
E: To
let my students know that learning is fun and that most of the things that are
important are not learned inside the classroom.
