Interview: Social Issue


Social Awareness Interview
Enrique Suarez-Olmos

C: What is the name of your profession?
E: Theatre and puppetry teacher. It’s interesting because I teach the class in Spanish.
C: What do you do that changes the world a little bit every day?
E: I teach kids of a very young age (3, 4, and 10) to speak Spanish, and I develop their imagination through theatrical games and puppetry.
C: Is Spanish their first language? Is it your first language?
E: No, Spanish is their second language. But yes, my first language is Spanish.
C: What inspired you to tech these children?
E: I think that kids have a lot of energy that can be aimed to achieve great things if it is encouraged in their early years.
C: What would you like to do in the future?
E: I would like to become my students’ friend. Also see how they grow within the years of me teaching
C: What’s your goal as a teacher?
E: To let my students know that learning is fun and that most of the things that are important are not learned inside the classroom.
